Q. The book I have checked out has been recalled, what does this mean?

Answer

Colchester: This means that another reader needs the book that you have out on loan. You will no longer be able to renew the book and you may have been given an earlier due date. You will be sent an email if your book has been recalled. Overdue recalled books are charged at £2.50 per day.

Southend: Books borrowed from Southend library do not currently get recalled. If there is a hold on one of the books you have, you will simply not be able to renew the book.

Loughton: This means that another reader needs the book that you have out on loan. You will no longer be able to renew the book and you may have been given an earlier due date. You will be sent an email if your book has been recalled.
