I've lost a library book, what do I do?

Colchester: If you have lost a book please let us know as soon as possible, either talk to us at the Helpdesk or email libline@essex.ac.uk. The book will be removed from your account and you will be charged the cost of replacement (including a £6 admin fee). 

Southend: Please let the staff at Reception on the Ground Floor of The Forum know as soon as possible. If the book you have lost is a University of Essex book the same rules will apply as to other campus libraries (in this case, please email libline@essex.ac.uk or talk to us at The Info Point on the 2nd floor during 'Information Point' opening hours. For council and South Essex college books, different fines/ procedures may apply.

Please do not purchase a replacement copy yourself, as there are many hidden costs for us to process these than if we replace them through our suppliers.
