Can I film the library/in the library for my assignment?
Answer
Colchester
If you would like to film in the library you will need to complete the online form (linked below) with as much detail as possible. We will then consider the request and authorise (or not) as appropriate.
Filming may be permitted as long as you do not record any scenes with library users in them without prior permission, make as little disturbance as possible and check in with the Library Helpdesk on arrival and departure.
Loughton
Filming is not allowed in the library at Loughton.
Southend
- Any students or staff intending to film on campus should contact the Southend Campus Manager/Assistant Campus Manager at the earliest opportunity to ask for permission and for a form which you should use to detail the activities you plan to carry out.
- Filming in non-University areas of The Forum, including the library, is likely to require permission from Southend City Council and/or South Essex College. The Campus Manager/Assistant Campus Manager will advise accordingly.
- Filming in the public realm, including Elmer Square outside The Forum, requires formal approval from Southend City Council and is the responsibility of the filming organiser.
