Do you accept donations?

The Library will not be accepting donations of printed material. Unfortunately, there are many hidden costs associated with accepting donations and staff on campus are working hard to acquire material which meets the current educational and research priorities of the University.
As an alternative to donating to us, please consider a charity or social enterprise which positively welcomes books for sale or redistribution:
If you are a student, then you could try using the smallads mailing list which allows you to offer books for sale to other students.
If you have collections, books or objects of historical value to researchers that you would like to donate to the Library, please contact our Special Collections team at libline@essex.ac.uk
