Q. How do I use quick check-in at Loughton?
If you would like to print something, browse for books or come to ask a question at the Loughton library helpdesk, then from Monday 17th May you will no longer need to make a booking in advance. Instead, we are asking everyone to use our new quick check-in form so that we can still keep track of our visitors.
Please note that if you would like to use a study space or computer, then you will still need to book online.
To use quick check-in, please follow these steps:
- Use your registration card on the SALTO reader (grey box on the wall outside the door) to open the library door during our opening hours.
- Go to our check-in station at the entrance and scan the QR code with your phone or use your browser to go to the webpage.
- Fill in your name, email address and why you are visiting, then click “check in”.
- Please use the hand sanitiser provided, and make sure to keep your face covering on and maintain social distancing during your visit.
If you have any problems checking in, library staff will be on hand to help or to check you in at the helpdesk instead. If you do not have your registration card to open the door, then please knock and library staff will assist you.
The maximum capacity of the library is 10 people so if we are busy, you may be asked to wait outside or come back at a quieter time.
If you use a printer, computer or the self-service machine, then please clean them with the anti-viral wipes provided when you are finished.
