Why can't I access FT.com when I already have an account?

Answer

If you have already created an account for FT.com using your university email, you may struggle to access it via the library search. When logging in, you FT.com account and your university account will conflict and stop you from connecting.

The only way to stop this from happening is to delete your personal account. Once this has been done, access the website via the library search. From here you will be able to personalise your account to the way that it was before while also being able to access all of FT.com's content.

This happens in rare cases but has been known to happen. If you run into issues with accessing your FT.com account, please contact us.
