What do I need to do to my EBSCO account?

Answer

From Monday 2nd August 2021 we will be implementing Single Sign On (SSO) for EBSCOhost. This will mean you will automatically have an account created for you in EBSCO databases and will be logged into this when you sign-in. SSO will lead to easier access to your saved articles and searches and prevent you losing content due to forgotten account details.

EBSCO databases include American Bibliography of Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies, CINAHL, Medline, Business Source Ultimate, APA PsycArticles, APA PsycInfo, APA PsycTests, Art Full Text (H.W. Wilson), Green File, Historical Abstracts, Library Information Science and Technology Abstracts, Linguistic Abstracts Online, Literary Reference Centre Plus, Literary Reference Ebook Collection, MLA Directory of Periodicals, MLA International Bibliography, OpenDissertations, Philosopher’s Index, Regional Business News & SPORTDiscus.

If you are an existing user of this service, you will still have access to your old account but we strongly recommend to merge it with your new account or move content over for easier access. You will be able to do this from 2nd August 2021. Instructions for how to do this are below.

If you have any questions regarding this or need help sharing content between accounts, please email Libline@essex.ac.uk
