I'd like to visit the Loughton library but am not a student or staff member of the university. Is this possible?

Answer

We are now able to welcome East 15 alumni and SCONUL access users to Loughton library. If you are an alumni or SCONUL user, please ensure you visit during staffed hours as you will be unable to open the door without a registration card. You can check our self-service hours online.

If you have not been to Loughton campus before, we recommend you take a look at the East 15 website which includes a 360 degree virtual tour of campus, so you know how to find the library when you arrive.

To keep our campus COVID-secure, we ask that all external library visitors do the following:

  • Please come straight to the library and do not go into any other buildings on site.
  • Wear a face covering.
  • Wash your hands and use the hand sanitiser points provided.
  • Use our quick check-in on arrival at the library.
  • Keep a 2-meter social distance.
  • Do not attend campus if you develop symptoms of COVID-19.

For more information and updates on how the library and University are responding to COVID-19, please check our updates page.

We are unable to provide any parking for library visitors at the Loughton campus. If you need to come to Loughton by car, it is possible to park locally. The East 15 website has advice on where you can legally park.

If you have any accessibility requirements, please contact us and we can arrange parking for you.
