Returning books on loan for over 1 year

Answer

The library is changing to a new system from the 28th of June 2022. This change will bring many benefits (read more here), one of which is automatic renewals.

This means books on loan to you will renew automatically unless they have been requested by another person, your account is about to expire, or they have been on loan for a year (365 days). Interlibrary loans will not auto-renew.

To make sure that you benefit from automatic renewals when we move to our new system, you will need to return any items you have had on loan for a year or more. These need to be returned before 29th July to avoid them going overdue, preventing further renewal.

If you still require those books, once they have been returned to the library you can choose to borrow them again for another year.

If you are not able to come onto campus, books can be posted back to us using the addresses on our contact us page.
