I am a student at the Colchester Institute, what access do I have?

Answer

Colchester campus only

If you are studying at the Colchester Institute or UCC, you are welcome to use the library on the Colchester campus as study space, please come to the Helpdesk and sign the visitor's book on entering and leaving the building.

While in the building you can use books for reference, but won't be able to borrow them.
If you would like to borrow a book from our collection, please speak to your library staff at the Colchester Institute, they may be able to arrange an Inter-library loan for you.

If you bring your own device, you will be able to log in to the Guest Wifi (details in the link below).

PG students

If you are studying at Post-graduate level on a course accredited by the University of Essex, you can sign up for a library card to borrow 5 physical books from the main collection at Colchester campus.
Please contact the library using the link below if you would like to do this. Once we have confirmed your eligibility, you will be asked to fill in a form and bring the following ID:

- Colchester Institute ID card

- Proof of address
