How do I specify an edition of an item on my reading list?

Answer

For newly added items and when renewing our e-textbooks (e.g. Kortext, LawTrove), we will automatically purchase the most recent edition of a text and update the reading list unless academic staff specify that an older edition is required for pedagogical reasons; for example, if a key chapter does not feature in a newer edition.

To specify to library staff that a particular edition of an item is required, you can add a 'note for library' to the item with a pedagogical reason or other relevant information. To find out how to add notes, please see our guide on editing a reading list.

Existing bookmarks with an item already linked will be left as is unless requested otherwise (excluding e-textbooks). If you want to update to the newest edition, please replace the bookmark with the new item and publish your reading list or contact us.
