Unfortunately, there is at least one broken automatic window in the bank of windows on the North (new) side of the library and these are stuck open.

The Estates team are working on fixing the problem. There is currently a delay as they will need to source specialist scaffolding to be able to reach the affected windows.

We apologise for the inconvenience. In the meantime, alternative study spaces are available in the South side of the building and in the Reading Rooms on the ground floor.
