Once you have your card, please bring this along with proof of address and photo ID to sign up for library membership at our Helpdesk.

Alumni accounts can be set up anytime during staffed hours. Please check our Opening Hours page before visiting.

Colchester

• As an alumnus, you would be able to borrow up to 5 books from the Main Collection.
  • These items are subject to recall (when requested by other members).
  • Books that are in the Student Collection on Floor 1 are not available due to them being prioritised for current students.
• Library e-resources through the library website are not available for use by Alumni.
  • Our walk-in service allows you access to a limited selection of e-resources, available on specific PCs in the library. Please see the FAQ in the links below for more information.
  • The Alumni office also offer remote access to e-resources through JSTOR.
• Printing services are not available for use by Alumni.
• Alumni are not eligible to join the SCONUL Access scheme.

Loughton

• Alumni are able to borrow up to 5 books from the Loughton library. 
• Library e-resources through the library website and printing services are not available to Alumni.
