The University subscription to Pressreader has now ended but you can still access Pressreader through your public library or from hotspots on our campuses.

Colchester

You can access Pressreader by signing up to your local Essex County Council Library for free. Details on how to do this are available here.

Once you have signed up, simply go to the Pressreader website , select ‘Sign in’ from the top right-hand corner and choose the ‘Library or Group’ option. Search for your home library and select it. You will be prompted to input your library card number and your PIN number which will have been communicated to you when you set up your public library account. You can also download the Pressreader App from the Google Play or Apple Store.

You can access on campus without an account via the Pressreader hotspot. Simply open the app or go to the Pressreader website while on campus.

Loughton

Southend

As a Forum member, you can access Pressreader through your library account. Simply go to the Pressreader website , select ‘Sign in’ from the top right-hand corner and choose the ‘Library or Group’ option. Search for Southend and select ‘Southend on sea City Council’. You will be prompted to input your library card number (this is the PRID on the front of your student card which starts with the first few letters of your last name) and your PIN number. If you have not previously set up a PIN number, follow the instructions here. You can also download the Pressreader App from the Google Play or Apple Store.

You can access without signing in while in The Forum via the Pressreader hotspot. Simply open the app or go to the Pressreader website while in the building.
